The National Campers Association exists to defend the rights of campers, protect access to public lands, and unite those who value the freedom of the open road.
We believe every camper—whether in a tent, RV, or van—deserves fair treatment, affordable access, and a voice in the policies that shape our way of life.
Our mission is to preserve the American camping experience by standing against over-regulation, rising fees, and threats to boon-docking and land access.
We’re not just campers. We’re defenders of the lifestyle.

Campers are being priced out, pushed out, and ignored.
From overpriced campgrounds and restricted boondocking to shady RV dealer practices and over-regulation, the freedom to roam is under attack.
The National Campers Association exists to change that.
We’re here to:
If you love the open road, it’s time to stand up and protect it.
Nobody is looking out for the individual camper. We’re being priced out, regulated out, ripped off, and taken advantage of. Access to public land is shrinking, fees keep going up, and the people who just want to camp in peace are the ones paying the price. I started the National Campers Association to change that—to be the voice for campers who’ve had enough.”
— Kurt Riley, Founder
Lawyers, lobbyists, public campaigns—they cost real dollars.
And right now, the only voices being heard in government are big industry and corporate interests.
We don’t take money from RV manufacturers, dealers, or campground chains.
We represent the people who actually camp—and we rely on you to fund this mission.
If you believe camping should stay fair and accessible, help us defend it.
We’re not here to sell perks. We’re here to protect your rights.
Every dollar helps us fight smarter, louder, and longer.
For decades, the RV industry has operated in a closed loop of power and profit—leaving individual campers stuck with the cost, confusion, and consequences.
“They profit from the sale, from the warranty, from the financing—and from the trust of customers who don’t know the game.”
“If your RV has problems, there’s a 9 in 10 chance it came from one of these two companies.”
And both offer short warranties, deflect service responsibility to dealers, and admit to supply issues, part failures, and delivery delays in their own reports.
“Lippert’s not struggling—they're expanding. But your broken slide-out can still take 6 weeks to fix.”
The RV industry is vertically integrated, financially powerful, and structurally built to avoid responsibility.
The National Campers Association is independent, member-funded, and built for one reason: to fight back.
We’re building the nation’s first RV dealer and manufacturer review platform, where:
The RV Industry Association (RVIA) is a trade group funded by the manufacturers, suppliers, and dealers that profit from the RV boom—while campers are left dealing with bad builds, broken warranties, and endless runarounds.
The NCA is different. We’re funded by members, not corporations. We don’t work for the industry. We work for you.
RV dealerships and campground chains are taking advantage of everyday campers. We will raise awareness, push for legislation, and hold bad actors accountable.
We advocate for state residents to camp for free or at reduced cost in their own state parks. Public land should be public — not a revenue trap.
We will work to ensure that campers can responsibly camp on public lands without harassment, bans, or excessive regulation. Boondocking is a legacy freedom — and we intend to preserve it.
We’ll track and respond to local and federal efforts that restrict camping access. If a piece of land is open to hiking or biking, it should be open to responsible camping too.
Real change requires legal firepower. We’re raising funds to hire attorneys and lobbyists who can help us protect your rights where it matters — in courtrooms and capitol buildings.
A clear, simple document outlining the basic rights all campers deserve — and a rallying cry for future action.
We’ve heard your stories—the high-pressure sales, the hidden fees, the broken rigs, the warranty runaround, and the ghosted service calls. It’s not just dealerships, and it’s not just manufacturers. It’s an industry problem—and we’re building the solution.
The National Campers Association is creating the first-ever nationwide review platform for RV dealerships and manufacturers, powered entirely by real campers.
“This industry has gone unchecked for too long. We’re not here to burn it down—we’re here to raise the bar. Honest builders and fair dealers should be proud to stand behind their work. And those who aren’t? We’ll make sure every camper knows who they are.”Campers deserve better. We're building the platform that makes it happen.
For decades, individual RV buyers have carried all the risk. Now, the tide is turning.
The NCA is building the nation’s first camper-powered review and accountability platform—where dealers and manufacturers are publicly reviewed based on real-world experiences.
This is your opportunity to engage with the platform, respond to feedback, and demonstrate your commitment to honesty, transparency, and post-sale support.

This is not a sponsorship. It’s not a partnership. It’s a test of integrity.
If you stand behind what you build or sell, this is your chance to prove it—publicly.
The RV industry isn’t just broken—it’s unregulated. The NCA believes every camper deserves real protections backed by law.
Our policy priorities include:
We aren’t lobbying—yet. But we’re preparing. And we’re building the platform that will make it impossible to ignore what’s broken.
Legal Advisory Service
For members who need legal advice when dealing with dealerships, manufacturers, campgrounds, or land access issues. Not litigation—just help when they don’t know where to turn.
RV Buyer’s Advocate Service
A service to help members avoid getting ripped off when buying an RV—advice, coaching, red flag spotting, and negotiation tips.
Campers frequently cross state lines and stay in remote locations. The NCA supports your right to legally carry and transport firearms in accordance with state and federal laws. We aim to provide resources and guidance to help you understand concealed carry reciprocity, vehicle transport rules, and park-specific firearm policies—so you can camp confidently and legally.”
The NCA exists to protect lawful, responsible campers—not to enable unlawful encampments or the evasion of public safety laws.
We support those who choose the camping lifestyle and travel responsibly—not those who abuse camping laws to trespass, squat, or avoid law enforcement.
