The National Campers Association exists to support and protect people who enjoy camping by ensuring affordable prices, fair treatment, and open access to public lands. Camping is more than just recreation—it's a way for people to connect with nature, find adventure, and enjoy freedom outdoors.
Unfortunately, campers often face problems like increasing costs, unfair treatment from campgrounds and RV companies, and restrictions that limit where and how they can camp. Our organization works hard to address these challenges by fighting excessive fees, advocating against unnecessary rules, and highlighting unfair practices within the camping industry for starters.
We believe everyone who camps—whether they sleep in a tent, drive an RV, or travel in a van—should be treated fairly and have their voices heard when decisions affecting campers are made.
At our core, we're not only people who love camping; we're dedicated to protecting the freedom, accessibility, and enjoyment of the camping experience for everyone.

Campers deserve better.
For too long, RV dealerships, manufacturers, campgrounds, and even some policymakers have prioritized profit over people, taking advantage of campers through deceptive practices, unfair pricing, poor service, and restrictive legislation.
When was the last time a policymaker asked,
“What do campers want?”
We’re here to put an end to that!
Camping represents freedom:
Our mission is clear:
To protect and preserve these freedoms by advocating relentlessly for campers’ rights, holding the RV industry accountable, and empowering campers with the legal tools, consumer protections, and resources they need.
Campers need a unified voice—a powerful advocate willing to take a stand against abuse and corruption in the RV world.
Together, we’ll restore fairness, transparency, and integrity to camping.
This is why we exist—and we’re just getting started.
Nobody is looking out for the individual camper. We’re being priced out, regulated out, ripped off, and taken advantage of. Access to public land is shrinking, fees keep going up, and the people who just want to camp in peace are the ones paying the price. The National Campers Association exists to change that—to be the voice for campers who’ve had enough.
Lawyers, lobbyists, public campaigns—they cost real dollars.
And right now, the only voices being heard in government are big industry and corporate interests.
We don’t take money from RV manufacturers, dealers, or campground chains.
We represent the people who actually camp—and we rely on you to fund this mission.
If you believe camping should stay fair and accessible, help us defend it.
We’re not here to sell perks. We’re here to protect your rights.
Every dollar helps us fight smarter, louder, and longer.
For decades, the RV industry has operated in a closed loop of power and profit—leaving individual campers stuck with the cost, confusion, and consequences.
“If your RV has problems, there’s a 9 in 10 chance it came from one of these two companies.”
And both offer short warranties, deflect service responsibility to dealers, and admit to supply issues, part failures, and delivery delays in their own reports.
“Lippert’s not struggling—they're expanding. But your broken slide-out can still take 6 weeks to fix.”
The RV industry is vertically integrated, financially powerful, and structurally built to avoid responsibility.
The National Campers Association is independent, member-funded, and built for one reason: to fight back.
We’re building the nation’s first RV dealer and manufacturer review platform, where:
We’ve heard your stories—the high-pressure sales, the hidden fees, the broken rigs, the warranty runaround, and the ghosted service calls. It’s not just dealerships, and it’s not just manufacturers. It’s an industry problem—and we’re building the solution.
The National Campers Association is creating the first-ever nationwide review platform for RV dealerships and manufacturers, powered entirely by real campers.
“This industry has gone unchecked for too long. We’re not here to burn it down—we’re here to raise the bar. Honest builders and fair dealers should be proud to stand behind their work. And those who aren’t? We’ll make sure every camper knows who they are.”Campers deserve better. We're building the platform that makes it happen.
The RV industry isn’t just broken—it’s unregulated. The NCA believes every camper deserves real protections backed by law.
Our policy priorities include:
We aren’t lobbying—yet. But we’re preparing. And we’re building the platform that will make it impossible to ignore what’s broken.
Legal Advisory Service
For members who need legal advice when dealing with dealerships, manufacturers, campgrounds, or land access issues. Not litigation—just help when they don’t know where to turn.
RV Buyer’s Advocate Service
A service to help members avoid getting ripped off when buying an RV—advice, coaching, red flag spotting, and negotiation tips.
Campers frequently cross state lines and stay in remote locations. The NCA supports your right to legally carry and transport firearms in accordance with state and federal laws. We aim to provide resources and guidance to help you understand concealed carry reciprocity, vehicle transport rules, and park-specific firearm policies—so you can camp confidently and legally.”
The NCA exists to protect lawful, responsible campers—not to enable unlawful encampments or the evasion of public safety laws.
We support those who choose the camping lifestyle and travel responsibly—not those who abuse camping laws to trespass, squat, or avoid law enforcement.
Preserving America’s Campgrounds. Protecting Your Right to Explore.
America’s state and national parks are more than scenic landmarks — they’re part of our shared heritage and a vital resource for campers across the country. At the National Campers Association (NCA), we believe these public lands should remain well-funded, affordable, and accessible for everyone.
Our Position:
The NCA supports strong public investment in both state and national parks and stands firmly against policies that restrict access, increase costs unfairly, or allow privatization to erode public control.
Why This Matters to Campers:
1. Incredible Return on Investment
State and national parks generate far more than they cost.
These lands pay taxpayers back many times over through job creation, tourism, and local business support.
2. Affordable Camping Options
Public parks offer some of the most affordable camping in the country. They are essential to keeping the camping lifestyle accessible to working families, seniors, and young adventurers alike.
3. Rising Fees and Privatization Are a Threat
As park systems face budget shortfalls, we’re seeing rising entrance and campsite fees — and in some cases, third-party companies taking over operations. The result? Higher prices and fewer services for the average camper. We believe parks should serve the public, not corporate interests.
4. Maintenance Now Means Savings Later
Decades of deferred maintenance have left many parks with crumbling infrastructure. Continued underfunding will only increase repair costs in the future — while diminishing the visitor experience today.
What the NCA Supports:
The Bottom Line:
Parks aren’t a burden — they’re a smart investment in our economy, environment, and quality of life. The NCA is committed to defending your right to camp on public land without being priced out or shut out.
